Deeds is a director and President of the Arbor Group. Her extensive background in writing, camera, lighting, shooting and editing makes her a well-rounded director able to communicate well with crew and clients. Her work, whether commercial, corporate or documentary, is known for its balance, continuity and artistic quality. Deeds has won numerous Addy, Emmy and Telly awards… and is an award-winning documentarian.

Veronica’s Story – an art film describing the life of Veronica, an 11-year old victim of child abuse. It was produced for court-appointed, special advocates’ use to elicit discussions about child abuse among victims and adults. Winner of a first prize at the Louisville Film and Video Festival and first place in the experimental film category of the Brooklyn Arts Council (BACA) awards, the film was screened at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art and The Millennium and Brooklyn College in New York.

When the Bough Breaks – a compelling story of one year in the lives of children of three families with mothers in prison. Winner of the CINE Golden Eagle, First Prize in Carolina Film & Video Festival and Official Selection in American Film Institute, DV and Athens Film Festivals.

Sneden is an award-winning director and Arbor Group partner. He has directed literally hundreds of commercials and video programs in his career, and has developed a particular expertise in directing comedy and children. He has helped build Arbor’s excellent reputation as directors of both professional and non-professional talent. He is also a very talented designer and builder of specialty props and sets.

Whether it’s thirty-seconds or thirty minutes, stellar production has its genesis in one crystal vision, “tell me a story”.

Before joining Arbor, Loring racked up 15 years of agency experience. For us, she’s called on for new business cultivation, project management, budget development, outgoing marketing services, relationship maintenance and to produce.

Loring takes care of marketing, new business cultivation, project management, budgets and she's an executive producer.

Name: Derek Phillips
Title: Assistant Director/Producer

What we call him: Kiwi

Derek has been in the industry for 20 years, ten with Arbor Group. His talents have been instrumental on projects ranging from million dollar commercial productions to small ENG corporate shoots. He is a seasoned producer with experience on national and international productions.

Logistical challenges are his passion. If your creative requires snowmen in the middle of summer (done that) or perhaps an entire football team as “extras” (done that and threw in the cheerleaders as well), or even a Russian motorcycle and sidecar with client’s logo, Derek is your go-to guy. Being a great producer requires close working relationships; understanding nuances of the project and client goals and then having the expertise to ensure the production is on time, on budget and effectively communicates the message. Whatever your production calls for, Derek (Kiwi) can make it happen.

Susan brings a unique work perspective to our company, a matriculation and work background in Horticulture. Along with her green thumb, Susan excels at organization, planning, relationship building and scheduling; all those skills needed as an exceedingly competent interface between you and the skilled directors, producers and crew of the Arbor Group.

As Account Representative, Susan is called upon for new business cultivation as well as relationship maintenance. Susan would love to take you to lunch!
